Astrid de La Forest is a painter and printmaker. After studies at l' ESAG Penninghen, she worked as a stage designer with R. Peduzzi and as a criminal court portraitist for the television channel France 2. She started out as a painter, and then moved on to printmaking as of 1995. She was trained at the workshop of Lacourière-Frélaud, René Tazé, as well as Raymond Meyer in Pully in Switzerland and uses several techniques, including etching, aquatint, drypoint and carborundum, either in limited series or as monotypes.
